Rice Dhoklas – A Delicious Vegeterian Breakfast Option!!

If you have run out of breakfast options, here is a new one called  Rice Dhoklas..

There are lot of times when we have leftovers from the previous day’s dinner and normally we don’t have any option but to throw it out. So I decided to share this recipe for people who hate wastage of food…

This dish can be made in 15 minutes …

My family loved it…hopefully yours will too!!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour

1/2 cup Besan

1 cup White Rice ( Boiled or leftover from previous day dinner)

As per taste:

Oil, Mustard Seeds, Curry Leaves, Green Chilli, Grated Ginger, Coriander, Salt, Red Chili Powder, Garam Masala, Turmeric Powder.

Recipe:

1) Mix all these ingredients along with following spices ( salt, turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder) and prepare long rolls of these and press them between both the hands. Place the pressed rolls in a steam cooker and steam them for 10-15 minutes. Take them out, cut them into small pieces.

2) Take half teaspoon of oil in  pan. Once the oil is heated, put mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chili, grated ginger and then put the cut small pieces in the pan.

3) Mix them for 2 minutes and take them out from the pan. Place cut Green Chili for decoration on top of it.

4) Serve them hot with Green chutney and sprinkle Bhujia on top of it to make it more spicy if required.
