Weekend Special Tadka 

Maharashtrian dish spinachThalipeethTHEPLE

Ingredients:

Dough Preparations:

Wheat Flour- 1bowl

Gram Flour-1/2 bowl

Suji-1/4 bowl

Blanch Spinach- 1 bowl

Ginger garlic paste-1tsp

Chopped green chilli 1 tbsp

Oil- 2 tbsp

Spices( as per taste): Salt,  red chilli powder (1/2 tsp), tumeric (1/4tsp) corriander powder (1 tsp) roasted cummin powder (1 tsp), ajwain (1/4 tsp), chaat Masala and asafetida (hing).

Recipe:

1. Mix all three flour in  one bowl then add cut pieces of spinach and add remaining ingreients  then mix

properly.

2. Prepare  soft dough with water .

3. Make round balls from the dough  then put on plastic shhet and press with fingers to give round shape as

much as you wish then make hole in the centre for proper cooking.

4.  Put pan on the gas then add few drops of oil  then put paratha from plastic sheet to pan  then cook  on medium flame for parathas while putting oil on both side.

Now it is ready to serve and eat with family and enjoy weekend

Leftover rice and coffee lollipop

LEFTOVER RICE LOLLY POP

Ingredients:

Left over rice- 1 bowl

Coconut Powder- 1/2 bowl

Sugar- 2tbsp or as per taste

Cornflower powder- 1tbsp

Cardmon powder- 1/4tsp

Coffee pwoder-1/2 or as per taste

Ice cream stick- 5-10

Recipe:

1. Properly mix  all ingredients in left over rice

2.Give take mixture in palm and give round or oval shape of cutlet

3. Insert ice cream stick in the centre of cutlet

4. Put non stick pan on gas then add few drops of olive oil and heat on sim flame

5. Now cook cutlets on both side then put off gas.

6. Cool the cutlets

Now it is ready to serve

 

 

Kacche Aam ki Meethi Launji…

Keri Ki Launji

Ingredients:

Kaccha Aam: 2 piece

Oil : 4 tbsp

Sauf : 1 tsp

Kalaunji : 1 tsp

Cummin(Jeera): 1 tsp

Mustard Seeds: 1/2 tsp

Asafetida : 1/4 tsp

Salt, Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder ( As per taste)

Sugar- 1/2 bowl or as per taste

Water- 1 bowl or as per requirement

Recipe:

1) Wash kaccha aam properly  then peel off and cut it into long pieces

2) Take a deep pan, add oil to it.When oil gets heated, add  sauf, cummin, mustard seeds, kalaunji and asafetida.

3)  When crackels started in oil then add the cut pieces of kaccha aam and mix it well.

4) Add all the spices and mix it.

5) After mixing, add water and boil it for 10-15 minutes on medium heat

6) Add sugar and  mix properly then cook for 5-7 minutes

Meethi Launji  is ready to serve.

Enjoy it with puri or paratha or mathri or bread or khakhara and maje karo

Oats Cornflakes Dhokla..

Aaj ki Super healthy but yummy breakfast dish..

Oats Cornflakes Dhokla..

Oats Corn FlakesIngredients:

Oats: 1 bowl

Corn Flakes : 2 bowls

Urad ki daal: 1tsp

Vegetabe Oil : 1 tbsp

Green Chilli: 2 pieces

Whole Red chilli: 1 piece

Ginger garlic paste: 1 tbsp

Coriander Leaves and Curry Leaves : As per taste

Spices ( As per taste): Salt, Red Chilli Powder or Chilli Flex, Turmeric Powder. Chaat Masala, Mustard Seeds ,

Schezwan Sauce or any sauce or chutney as per your choice

Water: One-One and a half glass

Recepie:

1. Churn the corn flakes in grinder  and do on & off

2. Churn the oats in grinder and do on & off

3. In a pan, add oil and Put  on the Gas. When the oil gets heated, add mustard seeds, asafetida, curry leaves, Urad Ki Dal, Ginger and Garlic Paste.

4. Add Churned Corn flakes and Oats in above mixture prepared in the pan.

5 Add Spices, Salt, Turmeric and Red Chilli Powder and Chat Masala.

6. Do sauate in the above mixture.

6. Add Water of about one-one and a half glass in the pan and let the mixture boil until a thick batter is ready.

7. Put off the Gas.

8. Add Green Chilli and chopped Corriender Leaves to the thick batter prepared.

9. Prepare circular balls in the palm of the hand and then press it to make a sqaure sized dhokla

10 Take a steamer and when the water starts boiling, put the square sized dhokla in the steamer and cover it with a plate. Let it cook for 15-20 minutes.

11) Let the pan now cool down and once it does, take the dhokla out of the steamer.

12) Garnish it with red or green chilli or schezwan sauce or any other chatni or sauce as per your taste.

Enjoy the healthy oats cornflex dhokla with your family.

Yummy Mexican Lunch: Burrito Bowl

Burrito Bowl is one of the most famous Mexican dish in the western part of the world. If you have not tried it, then it’s a must try for the entire family. I first ate it when I came to USA and it has become one of my favorite dishes.

Ingredients:

burrito bowl 1

Boiled Rice: 1 bowl

Boiled Rajma or Beans or Tin Pack: 1 bowl

Boiled Sweet corn : 1/2 bowl

Chopped Lettuce or Cabbage : 1 1/2 bowl

Chopped Onion : 2 piece

Chopped Bell pepper or Capsicum : 1/2 bowl

Chopped Tomatoes: 2 pieces

Avacado Chutney : 2 tbsp

Schezuan Sauce: 2 tbsp

Chopped Green Chili: 1 piece

Lemon: 1/2 piece

Coriander Leaves

Grated cheese : 1 slice

Recipe:

1) Take the rice in a plate and spread it evenly.

2) Sauté onion and capsicum in a pan with 1 tbsp oil for 2-3 minutes.

2) Then put the layers above rice in the following order:

  1. Boiled Rajma
  2. Onion and capsicum
  3. Corn
  4. Tomatoes
  5. Avocado chutney ( If you have it available or you can make it by mixing peeled avocado and taking the pulp, chopped onion, chopped tomatoes, salt, red chili powder and lime juice). In case avocado are not available, you can use any green chutney if you like
  6. Schezuan Sauce ( For Schezuan sauce recipe, please click here )
  7. Chopped Lettuce
  8. Grated Cheese
  9. Chopped Green Chili
  10. Coriander Leaves

3) Put salt, black pepper and lemon as per taste.

So my daughter returned from her office yesterday in the afternoon ..the temperature was 44 degree..

Aate hi boli..Mumma give me a refreshing drink and no rasna or juice please..want something jisko peete hi bole- wah mummy wah..maja aa gaya..So I made Easy and quick Brazilian Float…ab bacho ki baat to manenge hi na

Brazalian Float

Ingredients:

Water- one glass

Coffee-  1/4 tsp or as per taste

Sugar- 3 tbs  or as per taste

Lemon Juice- 1 tsp

ENO (lemon flavor)- 1/2 tsp

Black Salt-1/4 tsp

Crushed ice- as per your requirement

Brazilian Float float

Recipe:

1. Add coffee, sugar, lemon juice, black salt and Eno in empty glass.

2. Add one glass water slowly

3. Add crushed ice and mix it with spoon

Now your refreshing summer drink is ready to drink :):)..Enjoy!!

If you do not have Eno, then you can take one glass of soda water ( no need of plain water). Also some people like their drink to be strong and some people like it light, so as per taste, you can modify coffee and sugar to make it a drink of your choice.

Healthy and Nutritious Indian Recipe: Chana Matki Masala

Mom I want protein in my lunch and no daal pls…daal Kha Kha Kar I am bored…Mujhe kuch tasty khana hai Mumma!! So based on my daughters demand – I made “Chana Matki Masala” today..without oil.

KALE MOTE CHANNE

Ingredients:

Black Channa (Large size)- 200gm.

Mint leaves- 15-20

Ginger- one small piece

Green Chilli- two small pieces

Corriender leaves- 15-20

Olive oil- 2tbsp

Roasted jeera powder-1tbsp

Jeera (Cummin seeds)- 1tbsp

Dry whole corriender- 2tbsp

Hingh (Asfoieteda)- one pinch

Whole red chilli- one piece

Imli Pulp- 4tbsp

Sugar- 1/2 -1 tsp

Salt, Black salt, Chat Massala and Garam Massala as per your taste

Garlic if you like

Recipe:

1. Boil black channa with salt in pressure cooker upto 4-5 whistles.

2. Put olive oil in pan and heat it. Add jeera, dry whole corriender,hingh and Whole red chilli then put off gas

3. Now cool the oil then add  imli pulp, mint leaves, chat massala, garam massala, roasted cummin powder, salt, balck salt, sugar green chilli and ginger. Churn this mixture in the mixer for  2 minutes.

4. Put Boil black channa in matki or bowl then add churn mixtrue (dressing) on channa and garnish with corriender leaves.

Now healthy and nutritious matki chnna massala is ready to eat.
